500 very special artists from I Can Do That! presented their high-quality performances and visual artwork at the 2012 Very Special Arts Day at the Sacramento Zoo. I Can Do That! brought their “arts for all abilities” productions to the Zoo on Tuesday, June 5, from 10 am to 12:00 pm. Artwork was on display throughout the morning. Performances ran from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
The 500 very special artists drummed their hearts out, sang African musical favorites, hip-hopped and break danced, and showed off their paintings and sculptures at the Zoo.
These students (all from I Can Do That! Artists-in-the-Schools programs within Sacramento City Unified School District) had worked with a professional teaching artist spring semester 2012 to create their final show or art display.
